M.S.S. Program for Advanced Standing Students

Graduate social work education enables students to deepen and expand the foundational knowledge and skills gained at the undergraduate level. Our Advanced Standing M.S.S. program is designed for individuals who have completed a B.S.W. degree within the last five years from a Council on Social Work Education accredited school of social work. 

Advanced Standing Program Eligibility Requirements 

  • a B.S.W. (Bachelor of Social Work) from a Council on Social Work Education accredited school of social work within five years of enrollment
  • a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

The Advanced Standing M.S.S. program begins in the summer session, allowing for graduation the following May or September. Students must choose one of two advanced specialization areas: Clinical Social Work or Communities, Organizations, Policy, and Advocacy.

Advanced Standing students who plan to complete the program in one year begin taking classes in summer session II. Classes meet twice a week for a five-week period. In the fall and spring semesters, classes meet once a week over a 14-week period. Students should keep in mind that some courses require time in the computer lab. 

Financial aid is available through a combination of 91传媒 grants and subsidized and unsubsidized loans. 

91传媒's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research Master of Social Service (M.S.S.) degree is equivalent in both licensure and use to the M.S.W. degree. The M.S.S. program is fully accredited by .
