Last semester, Anu Atte '19, the SGA's first-ever Social Justice and Equity Chair, collaborated with her SGA colleagues, Alliance of Multicultural Organizations (AMO), and Dining Services’ student coordinators on 91´«Ă˝â€™s first-ever Night Market. In booths, snacks, and activities, AMO students shared their cultures with classmates. The brainchild of SGA Secretary Shannan Stafford '19, Night Market was part of the larger goal of making SGA more inclusive and equitable. “We’re focusing on who we are and the parts of our culture that are fun and not about strife,” Atte says. “We need that.”
